This week I went on a hike, with a friend, through Gold Creek Pond one hour away from Seattle.
In addition to enjoying an beautiful hike, I had a lot of fun playing around in Lightroom. It’s really crazy how many different colors you are able to get out of photos taken in a raw format.
In this next picture, brought the cooler temp down to make the picture look as cold as it felt outside. I also bumped the highlights while keeping the rest of the photo kind of dark to give it a more epic feeling.
In this last shot I used a preset from Peter McKinnon , which gave the photo a very intense Autum feeling.
I think one of the biggest lessons learned that day is: darker in the camera, the better for editing in post.
At the end of the day I got lots of food to feed the instabeast
